Cloudflare has installed a camera in the lobby of its headquarters, pointed at a wall of approximately 100 lava lamps. The camera regularly captures images of the lamps and sends them to Cloudflare servers. These digital images are stored as strings of random numbers, with each pixel having its own numerical value. The servers use these strings of numbers as a starting point for generating secure encryption keys.
