What you need to know
1015 Folsom has been a nightclub since the early 1990s. The space covers 20,000 square feet across three levels with five separate rooms, making it the largest dedicated nightclub in San Francisco. It was one of the first venues on the West Coast to champion electronic dance music, hosting early sets from DJs who went on to fill stadiums.
What to Expect
The main room has a large dance floor and a powerful sound system. Additional rooms offer different music, quieter spaces, and bars throughout. On big event nights, all five rooms are open and each has its own DJ or programming. On smaller nights, only the main room operates.
The booking covers electronic music (house, techno, bass, trance), hip hop, pop, and special events. Comedy shows and private events also use the space. The crowd and vibe change completely depending on the night and the promoter. Check who’s producing the event, not just the venue name.
This is a late night venue. Most events don’t get going until midnight and run until 3 or 4 AM.
