What you need to know
Sip Tea Room serves traditional afternoon tea in the Inner Sunset directly across from Golden Gate Park. The format is full English service: scones with clotted cream, finger sandwiches, sausage or veggie rolls, fresh fruit, and sweets, all on a three-tier stand. Pots of loose-leaf tea get refilled throughout the seating.
The Tea Service
The Full Traditional Afternoon Tea Experience runs $49.50 per person. Reservations are required and the room runs 90-minute seatings. Walk-ins are welcome to order from a Lighter Fare menu when space allows.
Reservations typically fill two to three weeks ahead. Same-day reservations are not accepted.
The Space
Modern, light-filled tea room with a calm, polished feel that fits the Inner Sunset. The Golden Gate Park location makes it easy to combine with a walk through the park or a visit to the de Young or California Academy of Sciences.
