What SFGuide Is
SFGuide is an independent city guide written and maintained by a working San Francisco tour guide. It is informational. Recommendations are opinions, offered in good faith, with no payment from the businesses listed. There are no ads and no sponsored listings.
Accuracy
Hours, prices, schedules, and availability change constantly in a real city. The guide is updated regularly, but details can be out of date by the time you read them. Confirm anything critical (tickets, hours, closures) with the venue or operator before you go. SFGuide is not responsible for decisions made based on information here, and is not affiliated with the venues, transit agencies, or attractions described unless explicitly stated.
Your Account
Creating an account (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email) lets you save places and sync them across devices. You are responsible for activity under your account. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time via the contact page; see the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Using the Content
The writing, photos we created, routes, and data on this site are ours or licensed to us. You are welcome to share links and brief quotes with attribution. Republishing whole pages, lists, or the walking tours, or using site content to build a competing product or dataset, requires written permission.
Third-Party Links
Pages link out to venues, ticket sellers, transit agencies, and other third parties. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and SFGuide is not responsible for them.
The App
The SF Guide app is provided through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and your use of it is also subject to those stores’ terms. Offline data, maps, and audio are provided as-is and may not reflect same-day changes.
No Warranty
The site and app are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, SFGuide is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site, the app, or the places they describe. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
These terms may change as the site grows. The date at the top reflects the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
