La famosa fila di Victoriani su Steiner Street, chiamati anche Postcard Row o Seven Sisters, lungo il bordo orientale di Alamo Square.
Sono stati costruiti tra il 1892 e il 1896 da Matthew Kavanaugh, che viveva accanto. I quartieri di Pacific Heights, the Haight, e Noe Valley hanno più architettura Vittoriana e Edoardiana: approssimativamente 48.000 di queste case sono state costruite a San Francisco tra il 1849 e il 1915. Il termine “Painted Ladies” è stato coniato in un libro del 1978 da Elizabeth Pomada e Michael Larsen. Cammina verso est lungo Hayes Street attraverso Hayes Valley, o dirigiti a nord verso Pacific Heights per i mansion più grandi.
