Ang Exploratorium ay isang hands-on science museum na itinatag noong 1969 ng physicist Frank Oppenheimer sa Palace of Fine Arts. Lumipat ito sa Pier 15 sa Embarcadero noong Abril 2013. Humigit-kumulang 600 exhibits ang nakalagay sa anumang oras, kinuha mula sa mahigit 1,000 na itinayo ng museo. Ang Tactile Dome ay isang pitch-black crawl-through structure na nangangailangan ng hiwalay na reservation. Ang Bay Observatory sa likod ng pier ay tumitingin sa waterfront.
