Dance Mission Theater is a performance space and dance school on 24th Street in the Mission. The theater was founded in 1998. Performances and classes operate year-round.

What to Expect

The performance programming covers a wide range: traditional Mexican folk, West African dance, contemporary, and experimental work. Local companies use the theater for their seasons, and festivals bring in touring work. The room is small, around 100 seats.

Dance Mission also runs a full schedule of classes in salsa, Afro-Cuban, ballet, hip hop, and more, with sliding-scale pricing.

Getting There

24th Street Mission BART is one block west. The 48 Quintara/24th Street bus runs along 24th past the theater. Street parking on 24th is limited but side streets usually have spots in the evening.
