Rite Spot Cafe is a small neighborhood bar on Folsom in the Mission, at the corner of 17th, with live music most evenings and room for about 50.

What to Expect

Acts play the room’s piano or a corner stage, ranging across jazz, blues, folk, country, and singer-songwriter sets, mostly local musicians playing for tips. The room is quiet enough that an acoustic act usually fills the space without amplification. The bar serves beer, wine, and simple cocktails, with a small kitchen menu. There’s no cover, and tips for the musicians are expected.

Getting There

16th Street Mission BART is about a 10-minute walk west. The 12 Folsom/Pacific runs past the door, and the 33 stops one block north on 18th.
