Samovar opened in 2001 and has been one of San Francisco’s most respected tea programs ever since. The current location at the Yerba Buena Gardens overlooks the gardens and the rooftop carousel. The menu pairs over 50 single-origin teas with food designed to bring out the tea’s character.

The Food

Pots of single-origin tea brewed at the correct temperature for each variety. Tea pairings come with shortbread, scones, or tea-pairing meals that match each course to a different tea. Light meals, salads, and Asian-influenced bowls round out the food menu.
