Jollibee Opens on Market Street July 31, Its First S.F. Store in 15 Years

Jollibee, the Filipino fast-food chain, opens at 934 Market Street on Friday, July 31, 2026. It is the chain’s first location in San Francisco in about 15 years.

The store sits on Market Street near Hallidie Plaza and the Powell Street BART and Muni Metro station, a block from the Powell Street cable car turnaround. Jollibee says it will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with dine-in, takeout, and digital ordering.

Why it took six years

Jollibee has been working toward the Market Street location since 2020, moving through the city’s permitting process and a historic preservation review. The opening was most recently held up by a noise-compliance issue. After the store’s equipment failed two noise tests earlier this year, the company added an acoustic liner inside the heat pump and vibration isolation pads underneath, then passed a third test in late June. Mayor Daniel Lurie announced the July 31 date on July 21.

The menu

The chain is known for its fried chicken, which it calls Chickenjoy, a sweet-style spaghetti, and peach mango pie. The Market Street store will serve dine-in and takeout orders as well as digital ordering for pickup.

The previous San Francisco store

Jollibee’s last San Francisco location, at 200 Fourth Street, closed in 2011. The company has continued to run other Bay Area stores and has added locations across the United States in the years since.

Getting there

934 Market Street is served by the Powell Street BART and Muni Metro station, where all Muni Metro lines run under Market Street.
