Red Bay Coffee Returns to the Ferry Building July 31
Red Bay Coffee returns to the San Francisco Ferry Building on Friday, July 31, 2026, opening a new cafe about a year and a half after it closed its previous stall in the building in January 2025.
The Oakland-based, Black-owned company is taking Suite 46, across from Boulettes Larder inside the Ferry Building Marketplace. It plans a grand opening on July 31 with a ribbon-cutting, live music, and coffee tastings.
What’s on the menu
Red Bay’s all-day menu includes drinks it calls the Bay Pandan Latte, the Fillmore Fog, and the Port of Espresso Martini. The company says it plans to add coffee cocktails in early fall. The new space has an outdoor patio.
The space
Red Bay describes the design as Afro-Scandinavian, combining 1960s Haight Street references with the Danish idea of hygge, or warmth and comfort. The suite sits directly across from Boulettes Larder along the building’s Great Nave.
Where it is
The Ferry Building is at the foot of Market Street on the Embarcadero. It is served by the Embarcadero BART and Muni Metro station, the F Market historic streetcar line, and several Muni bus routes.
