What you need to know
A waterfront promenade and restored tidal marsh in the Presidio, an Army airfield from 1921 until 1936 that was later restored to wetlands.
The flat paved path runs along the waterfront from the Marina to Fort Point, with Golden Gate Bridge views the whole way. Windsurfers and kitesurfers launch from the beach. The Warming Hut at the west end serves coffee and local snacks with bridge views.
