Oktoberfest on Front Returns to the Financial District Friday, September 18

Oktoberfest on Front runs on Front Street in the Financial District on Friday, September 18, from 2 to 10pm. The Downtown SF Partnership and Schroeder’s co-host it, and entry is free with an RSVP.

What to Expect

Ladyhosen plays Bavarian polka and yodeling on accordion, tuba and drums, followed by Pop Rocks running Top 40, 80s and 90s material, Motown and hip-hop. The beer hall games are stein holding, a non-alcoholic beer chugging contest, and a best-dressed contest.

Three bars on the block pour and cook for it. Schroeder’s at 240 Front Street has Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier and Hofbrau Helles Lager, a bratwurst in a bun with sauerkraut and bourbon mustard aioli, and a cucumber-infused vodka cocktail with watermelon puree, lime and agave. Harrington’s Bar and Grill at 245 Front Street has bratwursts on pretzel buns with sauerkraut, crispy Reuben egg rolls, pretzels and 30 ounce steins. Royal Exchange at 301 Sacramento Street has 40 beers on tap, pretzel knots with honey mustard, and a bratwurst platter with sauerkraut and roasted potatoes. The organizers count more than 70 taps across the three.

All ages are welcome. Anyone drinking has to be 21 or older with valid photo ID. The event is smoke free under San Francisco Health Code Article 19L.
