Transamerica Redwood Park Will Host Its First Holiday Market This December

San Francisco, November 3, 2026. Transamerica Redwood Park, the redwood grove beside the Transamerica Pyramid, will host its first holiday market this December. The pyramid’s owner, Yoda Group, and the event producer RASA World announced the Transamerica Pyramid Center Holiday Market on Monday, November 2, in a press release.

What the market will include

According to the release, the park will get a centerpiece Christmas tree and thousands of lights, with holiday chalets placed around the grove selling gifts, warm drinks and seasonal food from local businesses. The organizers describe the setup as modeled on European Christmas markets.

The plans include 12 nights of special programming: outdoor holiday movie screenings, live music and smaller concerts, appearances by Santa Claus, and activities for children and families. A recurring evening series called Après Sessions will run in the spaces around the park, with an alpine-themed lounge serving cocktails, playing records and booking local performers.

“We hope to establish a new holiday tradition that brings families, friends, and the wider community together,” Alon Bar, CEO of Yoda Group, said in the release.

Dates are still to be confirmed

SFist reported that the market starts on December 10. The organizers’ release does not give a start date and says official dates, participating vendors and the programming schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. Treat December 10 as reported rather than confirmed until the organizers publish a calendar; we will update this post when they do. The release does not say whether entry is free or ticketed.

SFist also reported that the cocktail lounge may use the former Ama restaurant space at 545 Sansome Street, which closed in May. The release does not name a location for the lounge.

Who is behind it

Yoda Group, a listed investment company, bought the Transamerica Pyramid and its neighboring buildings in March 2026, after a renovation of the 1972 tower led by Foster + Partners. RASA World recently produced the Pier Play festival at Pier 70; the release says the San Francisco debut sold out to a crowd of 3,000.

Getting there and what else is nearby

Redwood Park is part of the Transamerica Pyramid block at 600 Montgomery Street, in the Financial District next to Jackson Square, and a walk of about 10 minutes from the Montgomery Street and Embarcadero BART and Muni stations. Alongside the redwoods, the park has a frog fountain and a plaque honoring Bummer and Lazarus, two stray dogs who became local celebrities in 1860s San Francisco.

Next door, the Transamerica Pyramid Annex Gallery at 535 Washington Street is showing Syd Mead: Future Pastime through December 17, so the two can be paired in one visit. For other holiday plans, see the Union Square holiday ice rink, ZooLights at the San Francisco Zoo and our November 2026 guide.
