What you need to know

The Stonestown Farmers Market runs Sundays year-round in the parking area at Stonestown Galleria, between the Sunset and SF State. The market is operated by the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association.

Hours

9am to 1pm, Sundays, year-round.

What’s Sold

Farmers, bakers, prepared-food vendors, and flower growers. Many of the vendors also work the Clement Street market on alternating Sundays.

Why It’s Convenient

Stonestown’s parking lot is free, which is unusual among the city’s farmers markets. That makes it the easiest market to drive to from the western neighborhoods and the South Bay.

Getting There

The M-Ocean View Muni Metro line stops at Stonestown. The 17 Park Merced, 28 19th Avenue, and 29 Sunset all serve the area. The mall parking lot is free.

The Sunset stays cool and often foggy during summer mornings, even when the rest of the city is warm. Bring a layer.

Pro tips

A suburban-feeling market near SF State with plenty of free parking. Great for families. Pick up produce then grab lunch at the Stonestown food court or nearby Irving Street restaurants.
