Banksy Limitless Opens December 4 in the Former H&M Store on Powell Street Near Union Square

San Francisco, November 3, 2026. Banksy Limitless, a ticketed walk-through exhibition of more than 250 works by the British street artist Banksy, opens on Friday, December 4, 2026, in the former H&M store at 150 Powell Street, near Union Square. Tickets are on sale now through the promoter Fever, with adult admission at $35 plus a booking fee.

The show is not authorized or endorsed by Banksy, according to SFist, which reported the opening on November 2 after the San Francisco Chronicle first noted it. It follows earlier runs of Banksy Limitless in London and Sydney.

What is in the exhibition

Fever’s official ticket page describes a 25,000-square-foot exhibition drawn from a private collection of Banksy works, ranging from certified originals to large-scale installations. It also lists original murals by Banksy that were removed from the buildings they were painted on and restored. SFist adds that the 250 pieces include reproductions, photographs and privately owned works, along with projections and a timeline of the artist’s career.

Secret San Francisco, a Fever-owned publication, names two installations from the London and Sydney runs, the Infinity Room and Cinderella’s Carriage, and says premium ticket holders can spray-paint a stenciled T-shirt to take home after the visit. The visit ends in a gift shop.

Why the location matters

The former H&M space has sat empty on Powell Street, the cable car corridor between Market Street and Union Square, and the exhibition will fill it for the winter months. Powell Street Station on BART and Muni Metro is a short walk south, and the Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason cable cars run past the door. For more on the area, see our guide to downtown San Francisco and the Union Square holiday ice rink, which is open this winter.

Banksy and San Francisco

It is not the first Banksy show in the city staged without the artist. The Art of Banksy, another unauthorized touring show, came to the Palace of Fine Arts in 2021, SFist notes; KQED covered its arrival at the time.

Banksy painted at least seven murals around San Francisco during a 2010 visit, SFist notes. The photo above, taken in May 2010, shows two of them on Haight Street: the “This Is Where I Draw the Line” piece at 1672 Haight, on the white building at left, and a stenciled rat in a beret high on the wall of the Red Victorian building at right. SFist reports the rat was later removed from the building and ended up in Los Angeles. A North Beach piece survives in a faded state.
