Cinderella Bakery Opens Its Mission Location at 24th and Alabama on August 28
Update, August 20, 2026
Cinderella Bakery now has an opening date for the Mission location. Mission Local reported on August 18 that the shop is set to open on August 28, 2026, at 24th and Alabama streets. That is about a month later than the end-of-July timing reported earlier in the summer.
Mission Local also fills in the building’s history. The address was La Victoria Panaderia for 67 years. Cinderella co-owner Mike Fishman bought the property in November 2018, a month after La Victoria closed, which means this opening has been roughly eight years in the making. The Mission store will carry the same menu as the Inner Richmond original, with additional space given over to baking and wholesale.
Cinderella Bakery, the Russian bakery and cafe on Balboa Street in the Inner Richmond, is opening a second location at 2937 24th Street in the Mission. The bakery confirms the address on its own website.
The Space
2937 24th Street was La Victoria Panaderia, a Mexican bakery that ran on that block before closing. The stretch of 24th Street it sits on falls inside the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District. What Now San Francisco listed Eterna Primavera Bakery, La Vaca Birria and Taqueria El Farolito among the businesses nearby.
Owners Mike and Marika Fishman have been working toward this location for years. Trade coverage of the lease first appeared in May 2025, and the opening has moved more than once since then.
The Food
Cinderella’s bakery counter runs to Napoleon, honey cakes, piroshki and Russian pies. The cafe side lists Russian appetizers, entrees and side dishes. Eater reported that the 24th Street menu will match what the Balboa Street store already sells, so the lineup should carry over rather than change for the new neighborhood.
The new building also gives the business more room for baking and wholesale, which the current Balboa Street kitchen handles alongside retail.
