San Francisco Free Folk Festival 2026: 50th Year in Golden Gate Park (July 11)

The San Francisco Free Folk Festival is a one-day festival of folk music and dance in Golden Gate Park. The 2026 edition is the 50th annual, held Saturday, July 11, from 11am to 6pm. Admission is free. What to Expect The festival runs about 22 performances and 18 participatory workshops across several stages and dance areas. The program covers folk, Irish, Cajun and Creole, jazz, blues, sea shanties, and storytelling. The workshops and jam sessions are open to anyone who wants to take part. The festival is run by the San Francisco Folk Music Club, a nonprofit founded in 1948. Details When: Saturday, July 11, 2026, 11am to 6pm. Where: Golden Gate Park Bandshell (Spreckels Temple of Music), 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive. Cost: Free. Getting there: The festival is at the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park, near the de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences. The 5 Fulton runs along the north edge of the park on Fulton Street, the 44 O’Shaughnessy stops at the Music Concourse, and the N Judah light rail runs along the south side near Irving Street.
