The San Francisco Symphony presents a Romantic program, conducted by Chloé Van Soeterstède in her Symphony debut. The evening opens with Elfrida Andrée’s Overture in D major, a work by the pioneering Swedish composer. The program continues with Bruch’s Violin Concerto and closes with Mendelssohn’s Fifth Symphony, a full night of warmth and color from the Romantic repertoire. Admission is free.
