SOMArts Cultural Center is a 1957 industrial building on Brannan Street that houses two galleries, artist studios, a print studio, and a 230-seat theater. The center programs over 50 community-curated exhibitions a year and rents space to performance groups, dance companies, and arts events. Run as a nonprofit since 1979.
