But I’m a Cheerleader

The Castro Theatre presents a screening of But I’m a Cheerleader, the 1999 comedy starring Natasha Lyonne as Megan, a cheerleader whose well-meaning parents mistake her contentment for denial and ship her off to True Directions, a boot camp designed to “fix” her orientation. At camp, Megan meets Graham (Clea DuVall), a rebellious lesbian who challenges everything Megan thought she knew about herself.
