Annette A Aguilar, a NYC based Latin/Brazilian drummer with San Francisco roots, brings her seven-piece band Beans on the Left to Bird & Beckett Books & Records. The ensemble features Anthony Blea on violin, Chloe Scott on flute, Murray Low on piano, Gary Brown on bass, Ricky Aguilar on congas, and Mena Ramos on bata. Aguilar’s New York band StringBeans has been a major force on the Latin Jazz scene for years, and she’s been working with legendary Arturo O’Farrill in BronX BandA.
