Jonah Raskin, Marc Zegans & Larry Beckett Poetry Reading

Jonah Raskin introduces his latest book, Keeping the Beat (Regent Press ), a collection of original reviews and essays about the writers of the Beat Generation and their contemporaries. Alongside poetry from his own recent work, poets Marc Zegans and Larry Beckett will present their own pieces. Zegans and Beckett collaborated on The Book of Immaculate Perception / Madrigals, a tête-bêche (flip book) featuring two interconnected poem cycles. Beckett’s “Madrigals” trace a life arc forward from conception, while Zegans’ “The Book of Immaculate Perception” follows the circle from raw awareness through language-mediated life to simple awareness regained.
