Hedwig and the Angry Inch 25th Anniversary Screening with John Cameron Mitchell
The Castro Theatre celebrates 25 years of Hedwig and the Angry Inch with a special 35mm screening of the 2001 cult classic — the story of internationally ignored rock singer Hedwig and her search for stardom and love. What makes this night exceptional: John Cameron Mitchell, the writer, director, and original star of the film, will be there in person for a live musical performance alongside the Bay Area’s own all-queer backing band. This is a rare chance to see a landmark queer film the way it was meant to be seen, with the person who made it performing on the same stage. Tickets run $45–$75. The show starts at 8:00 PM at the Castro Theatre in the heart of the Castro neighborhood.
