The Richmondは、Arguelloの西、Golden Gate Parkの北に広がる住宅街の碁盤の目状のエリアで、Ocean Beachまで続いている。一年の大半、この地域では霧がよく発生する。

見どころ&アクティビティ

Golden Gate Parkはこの地区の南の境界をなしている。公園の西半分は東半分に比べて概して静かだ。園内にはバイソンの放牧場、2基のオランダ風車（公園西端の北側にあるQueen Wilhelmina Tulip Gardenを備えたDutch Windmillと、南側のMurphy Windmill）、そして連なる湖がある。

Ocean Beachは各アベニューの終点にあたり、太平洋に面した冷たい砂浜が長く続いている。ちなみに、ウェットスーツはOcean Beachで発明されたという豆知識がある。

Lands Endのトレイルは、この地区の北西の角にある海沿いの崖に沿って続いている。トレイルヘッドにはSutro Bathsの廃墟がある。1896年に開業した元祖Sutro Bathsは、屋内塩水プールの複合施設（当時「世界最大」と称された）だったが、1966年に火災で焼失した。
