Jared Mattson & Ruban Nielson at Cafe Du Nord

Two of indie music’s most distinctive voices share a stage at Cafe Du Nord. Jared Mattson of The Mattson 2 and Ruban Nielson of Unknown Mortal Orchestra are bringing their collaborative album FEAR to life in an intimate San Francisco setting. The album evokes bleak, quietly human spaces, old motels, abandoned gas stations, vast parking lots lit by sodium lamps. Music built for loneliness without trying to fix it: calm without anesthesia, beauty carrying a low hum of danger underneath.
