Jared Mattson & Ruban Nielson at Cafe Du Nord

Two of indie music’s most distinctive voices share a stage at Cafe Du Nord. Jared Mattson of The Mattson 2 and Ruban Nielson of Unknown Mortal Orchestra are bringing their collaborative album FEAR to life in an intimate San Francisco setting. The album evokes bleak, quietly human spaces — old motels, abandoned gas stations, vast parking lots lit by sodium lamps. Music built for loneliness without trying to fix it: calm without anesthesia, beauty carrying a low hum of danger underneath.
