Greg Abate Quartet

Greg Abate is an American jazz saxophonist, flutist, and composer with a reputation built on fiery bebop and hard-bop playing. Berklee-trained, he performed early in his career with Ray Charles and later with the Artie Shaw Orchestra under Dick Johnson, going on to decades of international touring and recording. The Greg Abate Quartet plays Black Cat on Friday. The 7:00 PM show has doors at 6:00; a second 9:30 PM show has the bar open at 6:00 and doors at 8:45. Tickets are $20, $40, $50, or $60 (prices include a $5.50 processing and ticketing fee).
