Pacific Cocktail Haven
The Verdict
"One of the country's most awarded cocktail bars. Order bartender's choice."
What you need to know
The Bar
Kevin Diedrich opened Pacific Cocktail Haven. The bar has won Best American Cocktail Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail awards. Diedrich won Best American Bartender in 2020 after four nominations. The World’s 50 Best Bars list has ranked P.C.H. in the North America top 30 multiple years.
A fire destroyed the original location in 2021. Diedrich reopened a few steps away, in the building that originally housed the first Williams-Sonoma. The pineapple logo references that history.
The Drinks
Tropical-leaning cocktails built on Asian-Pacific ingredients. Tea, guava, calamansi, lychee, and pandan appear across the menu, mixed with a wide spirit selection. The list is organized by base spirit. Bartenders will riff on your preferences if you don’t want to pick from the menu. Zero-proof options are on the menu.
The Space
The new location is bigger than the original, with an outdoor patio and more intimate seating areas. Walk-in only; lines at the door on Friday and Saturday nights after 8pm.
