Kazemde George at Black Cat

Brooklyn-based saxophonist Kazemde George performs at Black Cat. A rising voice in modern improvised music, George draws from a wide range of traditions within the African diaspora, Bebop, Rumba, Bossa Nova, Hip Hop, and beyond, to create singular musical landscapes. George brings a rare dual background to his craft: a Harvard neurobiology degree and jazz mastery from the New England Conservatory. That combination informs his innovative compositions and the depth of his musicianship on stage. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 7:00 PM.
