Cheaper Than Therapy Comedy brings live stand-up to San Francisco’s historic Shelton Theater in the heart of Union Square. Each show features five to six hand-picked, experienced comedians along with occasional guest drop-ins. The bar opens at 7pm, so arrive early to grab a craft drink and a good seat. Plan to check in with the box office by 7:30pm — last seating is at 8:05pm and the show wraps up by 9:15pm. There is a full bar with no drink minimum. Cheaper Than Therapy runs year-round Wednesday through Sunday, making it one of the more reliable spots for consistent live comedy in the city.
