Hybrid Live Coding: Designing Systems for Audiovisual Performance
Gray Area presents this 10-week intensive course introducing live coding as a practical tool for building hybrid performance systems that bridge code, music technology, and digital media tools. Students will develop skills in creating algorithmic compositions and designing generative audiovisual systems. The curriculum also covers connecting software environments using industry standard protocols including MIDI and OSC. Whether you’re coming from a music background, a visual arts practice, or a coding background, this course is built around the intersection of all three. The program begins and is free to enroll.
