The Valkyries’ Next Home Game at Chase Center Is September 18

The Golden State Valkyries finish a five-game road trip at the Portland Fire on Sunday, August 30, and then the season stops for two and a half weeks. The WNBA’s published key dates for 2026 list a league-wide break from August 31 through September 16 for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. The next Valkyries game at Chase Center is Friday, September 18.

The two home games left in the regular season

According to the 2026 schedule compiled by Basketball-Reference, Golden State plays four games after the break: Portland at home on Friday, September 18; Seattle at home on Saturday, September 19; at Portland on Tuesday, September 22; and at the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, September 24, the team’s final regular-season game.

That leaves two regular-season home dates, September 18 and September 19, on back-to-back nights. The Valkyries clinched a playoff berth on August 17, so postseason home games at Chase Center are likely to follow, but the league had not published 2026 postseason dates as of August 30. Tip-off times and tickets are on the official team schedule.

Where the team stands

Golden State went into the August 30 game at 28-11, second in the Western Conference, under head coach Natalie Nakase. Basketball-Reference has the Valkyries allowing 75.6 points per game and posting a defensive rating of 101.4, both first among the league’s 15 teams. The offense ranks seventh by offensive rating, and the team plays at the slowest pace in the league.

What this means if you’re visiting

If you’re in San Francisco between August 31 and September 17, there is no Valkyries home game on the calendar. Chase Center books concerts and other events year-round, so the arena’s own event calendar is the place to check for those dates.

Getting to Chase Center

Where: Chase Center, 1 Warriors Way, Mission Bay. Getting there: The Muni T Third light rail line stops at UCSF/Chase Center, directly outside the arena. Caltrain’s 4th and King station is about a 15 minute walk north. Parking in Mission Bay on event nights is limited and priced accordingly, so transit is the practical option.
