Concerts & Gigs The Simon Rowe Trio feat. Deszon Claibourne and Ron Belcher
Keys Jazz Bistro founder Simon Rowe makes a rare appearance on piano for this one night trio set, joined by two long-time collaborators: Ron Belcher on bass and Deszon Claibourne on drums. Both are celebrated Bay Area standouts, and the three have built a deep musical rapport developed on and off the bandstand. Rowe leads with a discography that includes two trio recordings, among them Flamingo, which carries liner notes by distinguished jazz historian Nat Hentoff, plus a live recording. Expect the kind of relaxed, lived-in interplay that only comes from years of shared musical history. Doors and dining start ahead of the 7:00 PM set. Tickets are $30.
