The Still Point: An Immersive Dance-Theater Experience at SOMArts
Iris Company takes over the SOMArts gallery space in SoMa for a six-night immersive run of The Still Point, a 70-minute walk-through performance that unfolds across multiple rooms. Audiences move freely through the space as dance, theater, interactive projection, scenic installation, and an original score play out around them. The piece follows four fractured figures suspended in parallel worlds, each caught within unresolved memories. As you move through the rooms, the boundaries between those worlds begin to dissolve — drawing you into an exploration of identity, disconnection, and the longing to reconnect with oneself and community. Performances run Thursday through Sunday –19, then Friday and Saturday –25. Thursday through Saturday shows begin at 8pm; Sunday at 7pm. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance. Drinks are available for purchase. The experience is primarily standing and walking, with limited seating available. ADA accessible — contact [email protected] in advance for accessibility needs. Tickets run $45–$72. Appropriate for ages 13 and up. Only six performances total.
