Queer Ancestors Project Presents UNDER PRESSURE at SOMArts
The Queer Ancestors Project brings back UNDER PRESSURE, a free outdoor exhibition and community print party at SOMArts Cultural Center’s patio space in SoMa. The event celebrates the creative work of Queer and Trans emerging artists and is open to all ages. Attendees can browse and buy prints from the show, snag free empanadas by Doña Aida, and bring their own light-colored t-shirt to get printed for free with any artist’s design — first come, first served, limited capacity. For best results: lighter fabrics, no buttons or hardware, no long sleeves or velour. Participating artists include alexandra amal (hope), Erynn Lynn Ruiz, Jess Shen, JoJo, Kieran Trần, Oacchoné Pierrot, Sanya Sierra Mancia, and Sydney Nemetz, alongside QAP Creative Director Katie Gilmartin. The event is wheelchair accessible; masks are welcome and encouraged but not required.
