Techno Improvisation with Beat DJ
What you need to know
Gray Area hosts a hands-on workshop with Beat DJ focused on the fundamentals of performing live techno. No prior experience is required — this is explicitly beginner-friendly. The session uses livecoding, a technique where simple typed commands control your performance in real time. Topics covered include loop construction, synthesis, effects, improvisation, and real-time decision-making for creating dance music live.
