Doc’s Lab is a basement comedy and music room under Sotto Mare in North Beach, on the site of the original hungry i nightclub where Lenny Bruce, Mort Sahl, and Bill Cosby performed in the 1950s. About 100 seats. Programming runs comedy, live music, and the occasional storytelling night.
