Herbst Theatre is a 916-seat hall in the War Memorial Veterans Building on Van Ness Avenue, completed in 1932. The Herbst hosts City Arts & Lectures, San Francisco Performances, chamber music, and recitals. The space is acoustically tuned for unamplified music and the spoken word.
