Chef Val M. Cantu’s two-Michelin-starred Mexican fine-dining restaurant sits on Mission Street. The 16-course tasting menu draws from Mexican regional traditions while using California ingredients. Service is precise, the room is intimate, and the experience runs three hours.

The Food

The tasting menu changes seasonally but always includes corn (heirloom varieties grown for the restaurant), seafood from the California coast, and dishes that reference specific Mexican regions and techniques. Wine and mezcal pairings available.

Dishes have included blue corn tetela with sea urchin, abalone with smoked tortilla, and lamb barbacoa cooked underground in agave leaves.
