The War Memorial Opera House on Van Ness Avenue is home to the San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Ballet. Built in 1932, it seats around 3,128 across the orchestra, three balconies, and box seats. The interior is Beaux-Arts with chandeliers, a domed ceiling, and red velvet. Sightlines hold up across the house. The schedule runs from September through June.
