Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory は1962年8月からChinatown の Ross Alley で手作りのフォーチュンクッキーを製造している。店はKevin Chan が所有し、彼の母と叔父が創業した。2016年にSan Francisco Legacy Business に指定された。2018年6月8日は市からGolden Gate Fortune Cookie Company Day と宣言された。
製造方法
職人は電動円形グリドルに生地を流す。各円盤が焼けると、職人が箸で持ち上げ、温かいクッキーに紙の占いを入れ、冷えて硬くなる前に古典的な三日月形に折る。プロセス全体は客が見える200平方フィート程度のスペースで行われる。
1日最大10,000個のクッキーを生産する。店は従来のバニラフォーチュンクッキー、チョコレートフォーチュンクッキー、アーモンドクッキーなどのお菓子を販売している。平らな折られていないクッキーは袋売りされている。

営業時間： 毎日午前9時頃から午後6時頃。営業時間は変動する場合がある。
料金： 見学無料。フォーチュンクッキーの箱は$17。平らな折られていないクッキーの袋は$10。店内での写真撮影は1枚50セント。
